wouldnt have thought it would look good in all black, but it really did. I'm really thinking on giving it a shot and painting one like that.

Wow those green wings look rich, the details seem to come out more.I didn't even know about this variation until now!

BTW, I can relate to your inner voice tale, Tortri. It's like you said before about "guiltless" figure buying..I go through the same (and I'm guessing many others here do too, since we're all hopeless collectors). "Go ahead and get it, you only live once, you have money coming in...and what if someone else buys it first?!"

Redeemer: I only planned to get one for his wings, period. Then he started looking so bad ass I needed another. Hellspawn 2? I just bought a 3rd the other day, just to have an extra HS gun for a custom. Insatiable! 21 grams of NTS *taps vein*

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">the green is nice. I'm glad I bought it now, cause I like it a lot better than the white winged one I'd bought before. I figured if I left it there, someone would buy it, and I'd never find one with that much green again. especially as every single other redeemer I've seen has the white with little tiny patches of green wings.

s25 has managed to do something that no other line has done. I have two biker chicks, two redeemers, and if I find the walmart raven, I'll get two of that. if this is a sign of things to come, my books and my figures will soon be fighting for shelf space instead of peacefully coexisting the way they do now. especially with all of the new lines coming out.

and speaking of green things, I'll have that little voodoo doll thing done for you soon. it's almost finished..he'll be coming to work with me tomorrow to be completed. maybe I can freak out a few students with him..eye them during their tests while stabbing the needle into its head.
"oh..I'm sorry. did you..fail? what's that?? missed by one question!? awww..that's too bad." ::stab stab:: "wonder how you managed to do that..."

ah yes..it's time I got to bed. my mind is almost totally gone.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">haha, I'm already starting to have those problems myself. Do you buy doubles to keep one clammed and one open? That's usually my reason for getting an extra, if I realllly dig the figure in the first place.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Wow, the voodoo dolls do go by pretty fast- again I appreciate it! He may at least keep the cromag students off your back if & when they attempt to work their "charm". So long as nobody there has any psychosomatic disorder when you use your voodoo, I say go for it.
</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">it was funny..while I was sitting there today, one of the students came in to take his test. as I was setting it up, he saw the mostly finished doll laying there.

    "did you make that?"

    "yeah"

    "it's a voodoo doll, right?"

    "yup"

"remind me not to get on your bad side"

"yeah, well, I already have a supply of very sharp needles here with me, so that's a good idea."

funny thing is that I ended up screwing up and giving him the wrong test..and he didn't speak up and tell me. he sat there for an hour and a half and took the wrong test, then took the right one a few minutes later. perhaps he was afraid of my voodoo. muahahahaha

I don't reeally think that's a variation... when putting a wash on a figure some will always come out full and others come out light.

We had a weird variation on the 13 inch Violator back in the day, and not many people could even notice it. To start with, they were molded in light grey with a dark wash, and later they were dark grey plastic with a light dry-brush. The only real way to tell them apart (since there were always some darker and lighter) was by looking on the bottom of their feet.

But I like the white wings for customs, and the green wings for the real toy.
